What CMoney collects

When you create an account we collect your email address and any optional profile details you fill in (name, creator platforms, financial goals, risk tolerance, primary currency). When you link a bank — via Plaid (US) or Enable Banking (EU/UK) — we collect transaction history, account balances, the institution name, and (for Enable Banking) the country your bank is registered in. When you use the CMoney AI we store your chat history so you can reference it later.

What we don't collect

We don't collect your bank login credentials — those are handled entirely by Plaid or Enable Banking and never reach our servers. We don't track you across the web. We don't share your data with advertisers and we don't sell it.

Plaid (US banks)

We use Plaid to read transactions and balances from US bank accounts. Plaid's relationship with you is governed by Plaid's privacy policy. CMoney has read-only access — we cannot move money or initiate payments. You can disconnect any bank from Settings, or manage Plaid connections directly at my.plaid.com.

Enable Banking (EU and UK banks)

We use Enable Banking, a licensed Account Information Service Provider (AISP) under EU PSD2 regulation, to read transactions and balances from EU and UK bank accounts. Enable Banking's relationship with you is governed by their own privacy policy. CMoney has read-only access — we cannot move money or initiate payments.

EU regulation (PSD2 Strong Customer Authentication) requires you to re-authenticate at your bank every 90 to 180 days, depending on the bank. CMoney will prompt you in Settings when re-authentication is needed. If you let the consent expire, automatic syncing stops until you re-auth — your historical data remains.

You can disconnect any Enable Banking bank from Settings.

International data transfer

For EU and UK users: bank data fetched via Enable Banking flows through our infrastructure hosted in the United States. By using CMoney with an EU or UK linked bank you consent to this transfer. Bank access credentials are encrypted at rest with AES-256-GCM and never shared with third parties.

AI

When you use the CMoney AI, we send a summary of your financial data (income totals, top spending categories, savings rate, etc.) to Google's Gemini API as context for your conversation. We don't send raw transactions or other users' data. Gemini is governed by Google's API terms.

CMoney AI is not a licensed financial advisor. It generates educational guidance, not personalized financial advice.

Your rights
